Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We recognize that every person is unique with their own experiences and perspectives that have shaped their world view. We honor the differences between us, whether they may be based upon our cultural beliefs, country of origin, race, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, immigration status, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status and means, age, physical and mental abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, and other cultural and social identities. 

We strongly believe in the power of when a community comes together and place emphasis on building community capacity through supportive networks, sharing resources, and working in collaboration. 

We hold all employees, contractors, and consultants that work with Refugee Women Rising to uphold our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access and Lived Experience (IDEAL) values.

RWR’s board-approved policy does not allow for any discrimination based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, handicap, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, religion, disability, age, veteran or marital status, physical, emotional, or mental limitation or characteristic including hair or skin markings, language capacity, and/or political affiliation.
